Keeping in mind the Lok Sabha elections, a meeting was organized by the State Bahujan Samaj Party on Thursday in village Sanjhi Morh of Hiranagar assembly constituency of district Kathua. Jammu and Kashmir President of Bahujan Samaj Party, Darshan Rana, was Chief Guest on this occasion. Apart from this, the party General Secretary of BSP Sunil Majotra, Senior Leader Hari Chand Thapa, District President Raman Kumar, Senior party leaders Satpal Bhaboria and Purna Chand, along with a large number of Bahujan Samaj Party workers attended the meeting.
On this occasion, Bahujan Samaj Party President Darshan Rana said that Lok Sabha elections can be held anytime in the country; hence the party workers should be fully prepared.
He said that Bahujan Samaj Party has decided to field its candidates on all the Lok Sabha seats of Jammu division, and continuous discussions are being held with the party workers regarding the announcement of the names of the candidates. He said that Bahujan Samaj Party has been winning in district Kathua in the past too, and it is expected that the party will contest the elections with strength in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections as well as assembly elections.
Not only this, the party’s performance in the District Development Council elections was also much better. Rana said that Bahujan Samaj Party is continuously running a public relations campaign with the party workers.
On this occasion, District President of Bahujan Samaj Party Raman Kumar welcomed all the party leaders and said that Bahujan Samaj Party will contest the Lok Sabha elections as well as the Assembly elections with strength in district Kathua. He said that soon new units will be formed by the party and new faces will be given responsibilities. During the meeting, other party leaders and workers also expressed their views and gave suggestions to strengthen the party.
