Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, hosted a vibrant Basant Panchami celebration, showcasing India’s rich cultural heritage. A special assembly was organized, commencing with pledges followed by a divine rendition of Shlokas, marking the onset of the harvest season.
The event featured engaging activities such as Saraswati Vandana, speeches, poems, and Basant Panchami songs performed by students, both enlightening and entertaining the attendees.
The entire campus was adorned with colorful kites and yellow daffodils, emanating a festive ambiance. Students, beautifully attired in yellow dresses, actively participated in various activities. A Preeti Bhoj was organized, where students brought yellow dishes, symbolizing the significance of the day.
Kunwar Gambhir Dev Singh Charak, Managing Director of the School, delivered a gratitude speech, urging students to be progressive learners, set ambitious goals, and put in dedicated efforts for a promising and flourishing future. Devinder Kour, School’s Principal, shared her thoughts and extended wishes to the school community on this auspicious occasion, emphasizing the importance of embracing cultural diversity. She also commended the efforts of the students and teachers involved in organizing the program.
The youngest talents of the school, students from L.K.G, recited poems reflecting the spirit of Basant Panchami, spreading joy and cheer among the audience.
