BJP leader Guruji Raju Chandel has denounced the ongoing farmer protests, labeling them as a calculated conspiracy by opposition parties forming a ‘Mahathaga bandhan’ (Grand Alliance).
Talking to media persons here today, Chandel emphasized that the Modi government stands shoulder to shoulder with the farmers of the country and is committed to protecting all their legitimate demands and rights. He assured that every valid demand of the farmers will be duly addressed.
Chandel stated that while three central ministers from the BJP are in direct communication with farmers to address their concerns, the opposition parties in the Mahathagabandhan are misrepresenting the demands of the farmers and misleading them. He criticized the political leaders of the opposition alliance for exploiting the farmer protests for their own petty gains.
Regarding the recent incidents involving intoxicated individuals disrupting the protests, Chandel pointed out that certain elements associated with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) from Punjab have hijacked the movement, indulging in violence and tarnishing the image of the peaceful protests.
He accused them of attempting to sabotage the protests by inciting riots and defaming the Modi government.
Chandel urged the farmers from Punjab to show the intoxicated mobs the way out of their protests and to continue their agitation peacefully.
He emphasized that it is their constitutional right to voice their demands and the Modi government is committed to fulfilling them.
He advised the farmers to maintain patience, present their grievances directly to the central ministers, and refrain from falling prey to the instigations of the opposition leaders.
Asserting the unwavering support of the Modi government towards the welfare of farmers, Chandel stated that India has never had, nor will it ever have, a Prime Minister as devoted to the welfare of farmers as Narendra Modi.
He called upon all farmers to continue their peaceful protests and assured them that all their demands will be met, while warning them to stay wary of the deceitful tactics employed by the leaders of the opposition Mahathaga bandhan.
