Bari Brahmana police, under the supervision of SDPO Bari Brahmana, has apprehended a notorious criminal identified as Kapil Sharma, also known as Jimmy, son of Kamal Sharma, residing at Chaudahi, Sainik Colony, Jammu.
The arrest of the aforementioned individual was made in connection with Case FIR No. 11/2024, under sections 420/323/342/506 IPC, registered at Police Station Bari Brahmana. The arrest follows a complaint filed with PS Bari Brahmana, alleging continuous violence, unlawful confinement, and fraudulent activities at a drug de-addiction center in Birpur, Bari Brahmana. Subsequent to the FIR registration, a police team was promptly dispatched, leading to the rescue and reunification of 15 victims of violence with their families. However, the prime accused, Kapil Sharma alias Jimmy, had been evading arrest until today. The concerted efforts of PS Bari Brahmana culminated in the successful capture of the fugitive criminal. The arrest operation was carried out by a police team comprising PSI Nirmal Singh, Sgct Tavinder Singh, under the leadership of SHO Summet Sharma of Police Station Bari Brahmana.
It is noteworthy that the accused is implicated in 17 FIRs across Jammu and Samba districts, involving serious offenses such as attempted murder, drug trafficking, illegal possession of weapons, and robbery.
This arrest reflects the unwavering dedication of Samba Police to apprehend criminal elements and uphold the rule of law. It serves as a stern warning to individuals involved in criminal activities that there will be zero tolerance for such behavior within Samba district.
