Indian Army organised a Medical Camp at Balnoi in collaboration with People’s Hut Foundation

Balnoi Battalion of the Indian Army in collaboration with People’s Hut Foundation, Diva International Foundation conducted a Free Medical Camp at Balnoi Base, Sub Division Mendhar, Tehsil – Mankote, District Poonch The main aim of conducting this medical camp was to provide essential health care services to the villagers in the Area of responsibility in Balnoi Battalion. The People’s Hut Foundation headed by Dr. Rohit Koul is a national level registered NGO registered with Govt of India & Niti Aayog brought together a team of dedicated health care professionals who volunteered to offer medical consultations, check-up’s and treatment.
The camp was organised under the overall supervision of Dr. A.D Singh, Chairman Diva Group. The medical camp themed “Mobile Health Clinic Program” saw an overwhelming participation from villages of Mankote Block. In addition to medical consultation, the camp also provided free Ayush medicines, basic health screening and awareness about hygiene, nutrition and preventive care.
Medical Camp catered to all the villages of mendhar including villages of Balnoi, Dabraj, Sagra, Ghani and Mankote which are located close to the Line of Control and therefore lacks basic medical facilities.
Allopathic medicines were sponsored by Mr Vishal, Owner and Director of Lifeline Health Care Jammu, Diagnostic Services were provided by New Max Diagnostics Poonch and Ayush Medicines were provided by the Directorate of Ayush J&K U.T through Director Ayush J&K Dr. Mohan Singh. Medical camp was successfully carried out under the guidance of the Commanding Officer of the Balnoi Battalion Col. Ashwani Kumar Pandita.
The village elders and Ex- Servicemen of the area of responsibility conveyed their heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army and People’s Hut Foundation for organising the medical camp. The volunteers of People’s Hut Foundation, Diva International Foundation, Medical staff and other doctors were felicitated by Brigadier Ramesh Krishnan, (Sena Medal) Commander, Krishna Ghati Brigade.
