Sunil Verma, District President of Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC), Udhampur, today met with Omar Abdullah, Vice President of JKNC and former Chief Minister, in Jammu and extended heartfelt congratulations to him for successfully performing Umrah.
Sunil Verma also apprised the Party’s Vice President about the prevailing political scenario in district Udhampur. He highlighted the challenges faced by the general public, particularly the lack of basic amenities in the absence of a popular government. He conveyed the sentiments of the people, who are decrying the inadequate provision of essential services and infrastructure, such as healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and road connectivity. The District President emphasized the urgent need for effective governance to address these pressing issues and improve the quality of life for residents in Udhampur. He underscored the importance of aligning policies and initiatives with the aspirations and welfare of the people, in line with the principles espoused by the National Conference.
Omar Abdullah expressed gratitude to Sunil Verma for the warm wishes and underscored the paramount importance of fostering unity and harmony within the community. Recognizing the significance of collective cohesion, Omar reiterated the need for solidarity and mutual respect among all sections of society, regardless of differences. He asked him to champion the policies and ideologies of the National Conference (NC) at the grassroots level, emphasizing the party’s commitment to inclusive governance and equitable development for all segments of society.
