Commissioner State Taxes J&K, P.K. Bhat Tuesday e-inaugurated the new office complex of Deputy Commissioner Enforcement (North) Kashmir located at Lallad Sopore.
The inauguration function witnessed an impressive gathering of various officers including Additional Commissioner State Taxes Kashmir, Shakeel Maqbool Yatoo; Additional Deputy Commissioner Sopore, Shabir Ahmad Raina; RTO Kashmir, Syed Shahnawaz Bukhari; Deputy Commissioner State Taxes Enforcement (Central & North) Kashmir, Parveez Ahmad Raina; DC Appeals II, Alyas Nasir; Assistant Commissioner Technical Kashmir, State Taxes Officer Enforcement North, STOs of Baramulla, Srinagar, Sopore and Kupwara, Inspectors, sub-inspectors and other officials of the department.
The inauguration of the office complex for the Enforcement Wing of the Department for North Kashmir marks a significant milestone in enhancing enforcement capabilities of the department towards revenue augmentation of the State exchequer and enhancing compliance of GST, said CST J&K in his address.
On the occasion, ADC Sopore expressed support for the initiative and commitment to fostering collaboration for the betterment of the region.
The newly inaugurated office, situated at a strategically advantageous location, offers enhanced accessibility for enforcement activities across all districts of North Kashmir. Boasting six spacious rooms and an equally spacious lawn, the office is equipped to facilitate seamless operations and efficient coordination between department and stakeholders. Speaking at the inaugural ceremony, Additional Commissioner State Taxes Kashmir emphasized the pivotal role of the new office in strengthening enforcement efforts and ensuring compliance with tax regulations across the region. He highlighted the strategic significance of the location, underscoring its convenience for stakeholders and its potential to streamline enforcement activities. The establishment of the new office of DC Enforcement North Kashmir marks a significant step forward in bolstering enforcement capabilities and advancing the agenda of compliance and governance in the region, remarked Parveez Ahmad Raina, DC Enforcement (Central & North) Kashmir.
