Terming the abrogation of Article 370 as the biggest ever setback to terrorism and separatist elements in Jammu & Kashmir, BJP J&K General Secretary and former MLC Advocate Vibodh Gupta said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi took this decisive step for India’s unity and this decision set in motion a series of transformative changes that have had a profound impact on the region, its people, and its growth.
“Poor and deprived sections have been truly uplifted under the Modi government and leaders and representatives of every section of society are joining BJP”, stated Vibodh in a joining programme organized at Party office Kathu in which Gurudev Singh Bandral along with his dozens of supporters joined BJP.
Terming workers as Ambassadors of achievements of the Modi Government, Vibodh said that there is a need to reach the public and make them aware about drastic changes that happened after the abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu & Kashmir. He said that all the rights enshrined in the Constitution of India and benefits of all the Central Laws that were being enjoyed by other citizens of the country are now available to the people of Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh.
Vibodh strongly asserted that the Modi government has brought about socio-economic development in both the new UTs, Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh. “BJP empowered people, expelled unjust laws, and brought equity and fairness to those discriminated against for ages, who are now getting their due along with comprehensive development,” he added.
Vibodh urged workers to aware the public about post abrogation changes in Jammu. “We have seen Diwali celebration at Sharda Temple after 75 years, Muharram processions in Srinagar after 34 Years, opening of cinema halls after 30 years and this also happened after 30 years that Kashmiri Pandits celebrated ‘Navreh’ in their homeland”, he said adding “Birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh is now holiday and Accession Day is also now holiday which was long pending demands of people of Jammu”. Meanwhile, Former Minister and Vice President of BJP Surjit Singh Salathia has said that people have recognized the contribution of BJP governments at the Centre led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He added that in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections people will overwhelmingly support BJP. “BJP will record historic victories in Jammu and Kashmir in the upcoming election as people have full trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of New India. Speaking on the occasion BJP district President Gopal Mahajan said that the party workers have dedicated themselves to strengthening the party at gross root levels. He said that people from every section of society are expressing their interest to join the BJP and serve the nation with the motive of Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas Aur Sabka Vishwas.
