Sham Langer, Convener BJP Trade Cell, J&K, has asserted that BJP has always stood by all the commitments made to the people till date especially in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the closure of the Toll Plaza at Thandikhui by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) in Samba district bears testimony to this fact and falsifies the narrative of the opposition parties that BJP and its government befools the people by making false promises never to be fulfilled. In a statement issued to media here today, the senior BJP leader stated that the closure of the aforesaid Toll Plaza with effect from January 26, is not only fulfillment of the party’s commitment but also a Republic Day gift to the people of J&K as it was a demand raised by them especially the people of Jammu and the Govt had agreed to it thus keeping up its promise. He said that this move will definitely come as a major relief to the commuters especially those travelling to and fro Jammu, Samba and Kathua. He said that the BJP has also fulfilled its commitment of decimating terrorism and separatism in Jammu and Kashmir with the success being visible at the ground level. The senior BJP leader said that BJP has fulfilled its every promise including the historic ones like showing the door to Articles 370 and 35A which were the biggest impediments in the path of development of this region besides having deprived certain sections of the society of their significant rights for about seven decades. Not only this achievement, even the construction of Ram Temple, bringing the nation to the forefront in the global affairs besides leading the nation to become the most robust economy in the world are the other commitments fulfilled by it, he added.
