District Development Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan, reached out to the people to address their grievances here at a public outreach camp held at Panchayat Ghar Panassa under the aegis of Block Diwas.
Residents had the opportunity to directly voice their issues to the DDC. The Government Departments showcased Central and Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory Government schemes at the event. Representatives from departments of Revenue, Horticulture, Agriculture, Health besides from Khadi and Village Industries Board, SHG, interacted with residents, providing valuable information on how to benefit from these schemes.
Residents passionately communicated demands, including the establishment of a J&K branch, improved road connectivity, expedited work on the grid station, construction of new roads, a fresh survey of PMAY and BPL, and addressing staff shortages in schools. Concerned officers responded by providing briefings on proposed actions and timelines for various projects. The event also featured cultural performances and skits by Primary School Gadda, earning praise from DDC Vishesh Mahajan and attendees.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC Mahajan emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in finding community solutions and assured residents that their grievances would be thoroughly examined. He announced the upcoming launch of a grievance redressal portal, providing an online platform for residents to voice concerns directly. Mahajan committed to completing all Jal Jeevan Mission schemes in the district by March 31, highlighting the commitment of both Central and Jammu and Kashmir UT governments to providing fresh tap water to every household. He further disclosed plans for special camps dedicated to various beneficiaries and schemes across Reasi district, scheduled from February 1 to February 3. DDC Mahajan instructed officers to organize special camps in Panassa for Aadhar and Ayushman card enrollment. Later, DDC Mahajan inaugurated the Hut/Building of PWD at Pannasa, costing an estimated Rs. 35 Lakh. PO Poshan Mohammad Anwar Banday, SE PWD and PMGSY, ACP, XEN PWD, Chief Agriculture Officer, Tehsildar, BDO and other district officers were present.
