Induction Program for New Students Culminates at MIER College

MIER College of Education organized a one-day induction programme for incoming M.Ed. and M.Ed. Special Education students. The event witnessed the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including Dr.Renu Gupta, Chairperson MIER Group of Institutions, Prof. Adit Gupta, Director and Principal MIER College, Mrs. Rupa Gupta, Jt. Director MIER, Prof. Mool Raj Sharma, Controller of Examinations,Prof.Nishta Rana,Dr. Bharti Tandon, HoD and Deputy HoD School of Education, and faculty members.
The induction programmestarted with the registration of new students, followed by a welcome address by the Principal, Prof. Adit Gupta. Prof. Gupta formally welcomed the students into the MIER family and highlighted that the M.Ed. programme is a research-based and rigorous training initiative preparing students for the competitive job market. Emphasizing the use of techno-pedagogies, including ICT and MOOC platforms, Prof. Gupta encouraged students to leverage college resources, such as the extensive library collection, educational research facilities, and the psychological laboratory. Dr.Renu Gupta, Chairperson MIER, welcomed and blessed the new students at the School of Education. She urged them to give their best to the programme and acquire meaningfullearning experiences. She emphasised the importance of maintaining a positive attitude in life to achieve ideas and goals. She wished the students success in their learning endeavours.
Mrs. Rupa Gupta, Jt. Director, delivered an inspiring message focused on happiness and fulfilment. She guided students through the day’s activities, providing a mantra to remain focused in life and said that one needs to find a purpose, be optimistic, conscious and strong to sustain and face challenges.
Pranav Gandotra, Manager HR Training, shared information about digital initiatives, including college ERP, Google Classroom, PI 360, and LinkedIn. Dr BinduDua, Asst. Professor provided insights into grievance mechanisms, redressal procedures and the CASH committee.Deputy HoD, Dr. Bharti Tandon, outlined responsibilities, expectations and the code of conduct. Prof. Nishta Rana, HoD School of Education, introduced programme details and course learning outcomes.
The orientation and induction programme concluded with a comprehensive tour of the institute, offering students a glimpse into the college’sfacilities and infrastructure.
