Dogra Degree College ignites vision for Developed India @2047 in Youth Symposium

BARI BRAHMANA: Dogra Degree College’s Institution Innovation Cell in collaboration with NSS Unit and Commerce Department, DDC Jammu organized symposium on topic “VIKSIT BHARAT @ 2047- Voice Of Youth”on 30th January, 2024, with an aim to actively involve students and faculty members in shaping the vision of a developed India by 2047.
Priyanka Sharma, PO, NSS, Dogra Degree College addressed the symposium in its inaugural speech. She brought attention to the fact that we still have 25 years of Amrit Kaal ahead of us. To ensure that the goal of Viksit Bharat in 2047 becomes a reality, we must strive tirelessly towards this Amritkaal.
Under the expert guidance of Shivani Mengi, a distinguished member of the Institution Innovation Cell, Dogra Degree College, the symposium competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various colleges. 14 students in total took part in the symposium. Under the theme of “Viksit Bharat@2047- Voice of Youth,” participants presented insightful perspectives on various aspects crucial to India’s progress. The symposium served as a platform for the young minds to express their ideas, discuss challenges, and propose innovative solutions for a brighter future.
Distinguished judges, Dr. Gurpreet Kour, PO, NSS and Nodal Officer; Viksit Bharat, Jammu Division, Govt. College for Women, Paradeand Kirti Sharma, Librarian, Dogra Degree College, experts in their respective fields, evaluated the presentations. Their expertise added a valuable dimension to the symposium, contributing to the overall quality of the event. As per the declared results, Chiranjeev Singh of Dogra Degree College secured 1st Position, Sehrish Altaf of GCW Parade held 2nd Position and Umar Ayubof Dogra Law College stood third.
The symposium competition not only showcased the intellectual prowess of the participants but also reinforced Dogra Degree College’s commitment to providing a platform for students to develop their innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Dr. Bela Thakur, Principal of Dogra Degree College, commended the successful collaboration between the college, NSS Unit and the Institution Innovation Cell. She emphasized the importance of nurturing an entrepreneurial mind set among students to contribute effectively to the nation’s progress.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Kanchan Dubey, (IQAC Coordinator), Rachana Verma (Member, IIC), Amanpreet Kour, Sonia Gupta, Palak Gupta, Ashish Thakur, Shivani Kashyap, Shikha Gupta & Tina Sharma and students of Dogra Degree College were also present during the occasion. The vote of thanks was presented by Monika Sharma, member, Institution Innovation Cell. The Event concluded with the playing of the National Anthem.
