Delegation of CII J&K council meets with DC Srinagar to discuss key issues and recommendations

A delegation from the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Jammu and Kashmir Council recently met with the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Srinagar to address pressing issues and present recommendations. The meeting, held on January 30, 2024 served as a platform to discuss various topics, including the facilitation of provisional registrations for clinical establishments under the Clinical Establishments and Registration Act, 2010, in clinics across Kashmir.
The CII J&K Council delegation comprised esteemed members Haseeb Renzu, Iqram Ali, Sajad Hussain, Abur Rashid and office representative Rafia Siddiqui representing various sectors and industries. During the meeting, they engaged in a productive and constructive dialogue with the DC Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi Ud Din Bhat(IAS), to address the challenges faced by clinical establishments in obtaining provisional registrations.
Recognizing the significance of the Clinical Establishments and Registration Act, 2010, the delegation emphasized the need for streamlining the process of obtaining provisional registrations for clinical establishments in Kashmir. The delegation presented a set of recommendations aimed at simplifying and expediting the process of obtaining provisional registrations & there upon obtaining the permanent registration. These recommendations were based on the collective expertise and experiences of the CII J&K Council members, who have been actively involved in the healthcare sector.
The delegation also highlighted the urgency of completing ongoing infrastructural projects, particularly roads and flyovers, under the Smart City Plan. They emphasized the detrimental impact of delayed construction on the general public, causing inconvenience and hampering daily activities.
Furthermore, the delegation proposed the establishment of dedicated routes for e-rickshaws in the city. Recognizing the growing popularity of e-rickshaws as a sustainable and affordable mode of transportation, the delegation emphasized the need to streamline their operations and devise specific routes. They highlighted that this would not only enhance the efficiency of e-rickshaw services but also contribute to reducing traffic congestion and promoting eco-friendly transportation options.
The DC Srinagar, appreciated the CII J&K Council’s efforts and acknowledged the importance of their recommendations. He assured delegation of his commitment to addressing these issues and working towards their resolution in collaboration with relevant authorities.
The CII J&K Council expressed their gratitude to the DC Srinagar and his team for their attentive approach and willingness to collaborate. They expressed their optimism that the recommendations put forward during the meeting would be given due consideration and contribute to fostering a conducive environment across Jammu and Kashmir.
