Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai today chaired a meeting at the Mini Conference Hall DC Office Complex Udhampur to assess the physical and financial achievements made under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) in the district.
At the onset, District Agriculture Officer Sanjay Anand briefed the chair on the current status of agriculture and allied sectors under HADP. He informed that a total of 2984 applications were received on the HADP portal, with 1118 applications under verification and 1466 applications approved by the District Level Committee (DLC).
During the meeting, the DC outlined specific timelines for achieving targets under the HADP program and instructed officers to provide regular progress reports. Emphasizing the significance of the HADP initiative, the DC highlighted its role in establishing a sustainable and profitable agricultural ecosystem. The program aims to equip farmers with knowledge and resources to enhance productivity, profitability, and overall growth in the agriculture sector.
The DC urged departmental officers to ensure effective implementation of HADP, focusing on maximizing benefits for farming communities. The emphasis on expeditious loan sanctioning demonstrates a proactive approach towards meeting farmers’ financial requirements and improving their well-being.
