Govt Polytechnic Jammu celebrates National Voters Day

National Voters day celebrated at Government Polytechnic College Jammu by organizing debate and Painting Competition in the college campus under the guidance Er. Arun Bangotra Principal Government Polytechnic College Jammu.More than 20 students of IRG took part enthusiastically in the Competition.
Today, January 25, 2023 is celebrated as the National Voters’ Day to mark the foundation day of the Election Commission of India in 1950 while speaking on the occasion Er. Arun Bangotra Principal GPJ threw light on National Voters day. The objective is to increase the enrolment of voters to make the universal adult suffrage a reality. He said that the objective of National Voters day is to increase the enrolment of voters to make the universal adult suffrage a reality.He advised Staff and students to create awareness among the society as a whole about the importance of registration of votes and ensure their active participation in election for stronger democracy in the county. All the staff and student took a pledge on occasion of National Voters’ Day.
In debate Competition, student namely SuhaniAdhikari stood first, Rizwan Mughal stood second and Ranjana Devi stood third. In Painting Competition, student namelyVaneetaSekhri Stood first ,Riya Sharma stood second and KajalKumaristood third in the Competition. The Judges of the event are Er. Sukhdeep Singh H.O.D Civil Engineering Department &Er. Raj Kumar H.O.D Mechanical Engineering Department and the organizing members are Er. SakshiKapahi Lecturer I&C Engineering Department, Er. RuchiMahajan Faculty I&C Engineering, Er. Vicky Sharma faculty Electrical Engineering Department, Ar. HimaniDubey Faculty Architecture Department and Mr. Vinay Sharma Instructor IRG.
