In connection with the observance of the 14th National Voters Day, a significant pledge ceremony unfolded at the RPHQ Rajouri, commencing at 1100 hours. The administration of the pledge was conducted by DIG RP Range, Dr. Mohd Haseeb Mughal-IPS, who played a pivotal role in fostering a sense of civic duty among the participants.
The theme for this year’s National Voters Day, “Nothing like voting, I vote for sure,” underscores the dedication of voters and reflects the profound individual sentiments and aspirations towards active participation in the electoral process through the influential power of their votes. All the participants, comprising about 60 officers and officials, took a solemn pledge that resonated with the spirit of democratic values. The pledge reinforced the commitment of the citizens of India to uphold the democratic traditions of the country, ensuring the dignity of free, fair, and peaceful elections. It underscored the collective vow to vote fearlessly, without succumbing to influences based on considerations of religion, race, caste, community, language, or any form of inducement.
Among the notable attendees were Sh. Pervaiz Alam, Dy.SP Staff Officer; Sh. Sunil Dhar, Dy.SP (S) Pvt. Secretary to DIG; Inspr Naseer Ahmed; Inspr Ashfaq Mughal, and various other officers and officials of RPHQ Rajouri, totaling approximately 60 individuals. The event served as a platform for fostering a deeper connection with democratic values, concluding with a collective re-assurance to uphold faith in democracy and the democratic process.
