CUJ organises week long Yuva Shakti Mahotsav

The Department of Educational Studies, Central University of Jammu in collaboration with the office of the Dean of Students’ Welfare with the vision of Viksit Bharat organized a week-long “Yuva Shakti Mahotsav” commemorating the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose.
Various activities such as Vihangam, Zaika Bharat Ka, Yuva Kavita, Natak Nukkad, and Samwad were conducted and the students enthusiastically participated to showcase their talent. The entire event was organized under the patronage of Vice-Chancellor, Prof Sanjeev Jain and Co-Patron Prof. Ritu Bakshi, DSW.
However, on the 12th of January the Mahotsav was inaugurated by the Registrar, Prof. Yashwant Singh which culminated with an address by Prof. Suram Singh, CoE and Dean Academics of CUJ, as a Chief Guest.
Dr.Bijendra Kumar, Associate Professor of the Department of Hindi, Dr. Aarushi, and Dr. Anil Kumar have supported by judging various competitions. Although students enjoyed all the events, the most exciting activities were the Fashion show in Bharatiya costumes and a small skit on Ram Lilla played by the students and scholars. After the formal welcome by Dr. Kiran, the Co-ordinator of the Co-curricular Committee, Prof. Suram Singh, threw light on students’ lives and guided them on how to focus on achieving a determined target. He stressed that students should be focused like laser light to channel their Prakram. With her exciting address, Prof. Ritu Bakshi, Dean of Students’ Welfare, shed light on Prakram Diwas and motivated the students to steer their energy toward making innovative ideas for making Bharat a Viksit nation by 2047, as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Prof. Asit Mantry, Head Department of Education, stressed students about the three determining keys of success to achieve their aim with Parakram and Patience. He explained how Yuva Shakti and Nari Shakti have been glorifying the idea of Bharat Yug in this nation.
Prof.Mantry sincerely thanked Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, Central University of Jammu for promoting academic excellence and the idea of Viksit Bharat in the university and also encouraged the students to actively participate in such activities and contribute to Bharat. In the end, Dr. Yad Ram proposed a formal vote of thanks. All the students, research scholars, and faculty members – Dr. Aman,Dr. Ravi Vanguri, Dr. Mohan, Mr. Arvind, and Ms. Shivali were present.
