DOGRA HERALD BUREAU
jammu, Jan 18
Under the dynamic leadership of Jatin Dogra, the National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) in Jammu and Kashmir took a proactive stance by presenting a memorandum to the Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB). Subsequently, a press conference was convened to apprise the media and the public about the critical issues at hand.
During the press conference, Jatin Dogra highlighted the concerning aspects of the recruitment process in the region. He pointed out that the Jammu and Kashmir government’s initial delays in the recruitment process had led to many aspirants aging out of eligibility. This setback was compounded when, upon the issuance of requirements, the General Administration Department (GAD) abolished the waiting list criteria in September. This decision adversely affected numerous deserving candidates, creating an additional layer of complexity and injustice in the selection process.
Expressing deep concern for the affected aspirants, Jatin Dogra emphasized that the government’s plan to introduce new requirements for vacant seats could potentially exacerbate the situation, causing more candidates to age out without a fair opportunity. In a show of solidarity with the aspirants, Jatin Dogra unequivocally stated that if the administration failed to address their legitimate demands, NSUI would take to the streets and initiate protests against the government’s perceived injustice.
Reassuring aspirants of NSUI’s unwavering support, Jatin Dogra conveyed a message of solidarity and resilience. He assured them that they need not fear the government and emphasized that NSUI would consistently fight for their rights, using its platform to amplify their voices and concerns. In a gesture of transparency and accessibility, Jatin Dogra shared his personal mobile number, 8493889706, encouraging aspirants to reach out to NSUI whenever they needed assistance or guidance.
The press conference witnessed the active participation of NSUI activists, including Prabhdeep Singh, Akshit Verma, and others, who stood in solidarity with the cause. Their presence underscored the collective commitment of NSUI to champion the rights of aspirants and advocate for a fair and transparent recruitment process.
In essence, NSUI, under Jatin Dogra’s leadership, emerged as a staunch advocate for the rights of aspirants, demonstrating a commitment to accountability, transparency, and social justice in the realm of government recruitment in Jammu and Kashmir.
