District Development Commissioner Rajouri Om Prakash Bhagat today conducted a comprehensive inspection of the Dhanidhar Filtration Plant, reaffirming the administration’s commitment to provide uninterrupted, clean drinking water to the residents of Rajouri.
During the visit, the DDC meticulously assessed the working of the plant revealing a robust capacity of ten thousand gallons per day. It was highlighted that the filtration plant has been a crucial source, catering to the essential water needs of thousands of residents in Rajouri town.
The DDC underscored the importance of adhering to a well-structured schedule for water supply to ensure the convenience of the general public. He said that our aim is to guarantee a seamless and hassle-free drinking water supply for the residents of Rajouri and it is imperative that we maintain a proper schedule to avoid any inconvenience to the community.
The DDC directed the department to uphold the highest standards in providing clean drinking water. He emphasized the need for a proactive approach, directing officers to address issues related to drinking water promptly and in a time-bound manner to alleviate the challenges faced by the community.
“We are committed to addressing the concerns of the residents regarding drinking water. It is our collective responsibility to ensure that every individual has access to safe and clean water without any hindrance,” stated DDC.
He further called for the implementation of effective measures to promptly resolve issues related to drinking water, ensuring the well-being of the community. Overall the visit to the Dhanidhar Filtration Plant reflects the dedication of the administration to enhancing the quality of life for the residents of Rajouri.
The DDC also conducted spot inspection of Ujhan Canal which is the main water supply source for the Rajouri township and directed for proper upkeep of Ujhan Canal. The District Development Commissioner affirmed commitment of the district administration to continuous improvement in water supply infrastructure, promoting public health, and fostering a better quality of life for the residents of Rajouri.
Among the others, the Assistant Executive Engineer Arshed Iqbal and Naib Tehsildar Rajouri accompanied the DDC during his visit.
