Jammu & Kashmir BJP SC Morcha President and former MLA, Neelam Langeh, took the lead today in spearheading the Swachh Teerath Abhiyan at the ancient Sukrala Mata and the historical Shiv Temple constructed by the Pandavas in the enchanting town of Billawar in Kathua district.
As part of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) nationwide initiative preceding the consecration of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, Neelam Langeh orchestrated a comprehensive cleanliness drive at the revered and heritage temples in Billawar.
The initiative aligns with the larger vision of promoting cleanliness and sanctity at religious sites across the country.
Neelam Langeh, while actively engaging with the devotees, emphasized the paramount importance of preserving these sacred spaces with meticulous care and cleanliness. He asserted that maintaining the sanctity of these temples goes beyond a mere physical undertaking; it serves as a profound reflection of the devotees’ deep-seated devotion to the divine.
Speaking passionately about the BJP’s commitment to nation-building, Langeh highlighted the party’s longstanding encouragement for people to embrace cleanliness as an integral aspect of their lives. “Our temples are not just places of worship; they are embodiments of our cultural heritage.
Let us lead by example and transform our temples into not only spiritual hubs but also benchmarks of cleanliness.
This, I believe, will be a fitting tribute to the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan,” he declared.
The Swachh Teerath Abhiyan at Sukrala Mata and the Ancient Shiv Temple witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, volunteers, and BJP members.
Langeh expressed his gratitude to all participants and called for collective efforts to uphold the principles of cleanliness and hygiene, thus contributing to the larger national initiative.
On the occasion, District President Darshan Singh and his team, Puran Chand, District President SC Morcha, Rakesh Dev, State Secretary and other prominent individuals.
