Former MLC & JK UT spokesperson of BJP Girdhari Lal Raina appreciated and applauded the constructive role played by Panchs, Sarpanchs, and ULB councillors belonging to the Displaced Minority Community of Kashmir Valley. You were “responsible for converting the dream of Hon’ble. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji into reality at a time when so-called mainstream political parties decided to boycott democratic process at grassroots level” he asserted.
GL Raina who is also the prabhari of the Kashmir Displaced District (KDD ) unit of BJP Jammu Kashmir was speaking in a meeting of former Panchs, Sarpanchs, and ULB councillors belonging to the Displaced Minority Community. He stated that these dedicated courageous people took a personal risk and went back to Kashmir to fight elections in their respective places in 2018. For five years they served the constituencies in which they were not living after forced Displacement in 1989-90. Listening to their experiences and appreciation they got from common people for their dedication, honesty and ethical transparency is inspiring and encouraging, former MLC added. He opined that their work generates hope for future endeavours also. He in particular listed the successful retrieval of community lands encroached by unscrupulous elements as the most significant contribution from these former elected representatives at grassroots level; Be that temples, shrines or Cremation grounds. They have also played a crucial role in refurbishing inter-community interface and bonding to a greater extent that was disrupted in the post-exodus period and continues to be under strain for various reasons, he added further. GL Raina congratulated all these representatives for their remarkable work of winning the trust of even the majority community through sincere and honest work.
BJP spokesperson urged participants to remain connected & communicate with the people of their constituencies in Kashmir and capitalize the goodwill created by your performance, into vote and support the BJP under the illustrious leadership of Narendra Modi. He further said that experience as an elected representative places you in a unique position to be extremely suitable & useful for becoming ambassadors of Prime Minister and BJP both in Kashmir and among the community in favour of BJP and Viksit Bharat.
