NOPRUF delegation calls on DSEJ to address RET teachers’ concerns

Today, a delegation from the National Old Pension Restoration United Front (NOPRUF) met with the Director of School Education Jammu to discuss critical issues faced by RET (Rehbar-e-Taleem) Teachers. Led by Sakoon Manir, General Secretary NOPRUF J&K, the delegation raised several key concerns:
Comprehensive Transfer Policy: Advocating for a transfer policy that benefits RET Teachers.
Transition of Grade II and III Teachers: Seeking substantive posts for Grade II and III teachers.
Prior/Post Facto Permission Issuance: Urging the prompt processing of permissions for teachers with pending files since August 2023.
Conversion and Regularization: Requesting the conversion of Grade III teachers into Grade II and the regularization of remaining RET Teachers who have completed five years of service.
Concerns about Vision Document 2047: Specifically addressing the removal of threatening clauses.
Timely DPC of Teachers: Emphasizing the need for timely Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) assessments for teachers’ progression to Masters every year.
Creation of Separate Education Zone: Proposing the establishment of a separate education zone for Tehsil Kahra and Chirala.
Implementation of UT Grades: Urging the immediate implementation of UT Grades in favor of J&K employees, aligning with other Union Territories in the country. Restoration of Old Pension Scheme: Seeking the restoration of the Old Pension Scheme in J&K.
The Director of School Education Jammu attentively listened to the delegation’s concerns and assured swift action regarding the demands put forth by NOPRUF. The meeting was attended by Sadiq Hussain, Provincial Advisor NOPRUF, Ashiq Hussain, Provincial General Secretary AJKRETTF, Vinod Kotwal, Faiz Ahmed, and others.
This meeting is a crucial step in addressing the challenges faced by RET Teachers, and the commitment of the Director School Education Jammu to take prompt actions is anticipated to bring positive outcomes for the education community in the region.
