The Director Horticulture Kashmir G R Mir today presided over training cum awareness camp at Kulgam organized by the district Horticulture department.
The programme was attended by Chief Horticulture Officer Kulgam, Subject Matter Specialist Kulgam, and various other officers and officials from the department, along with a huge number of orchardists.
The primary objective of the camp was to empower local farmers by providing them with valuable insights into the latest horticultural schemes and technological advancements.
The programme focused on disseminating information about significant UT and centrally sponsored schemes, including HADP, High-Density Plantation Scheme, and MIDH.
During the event, a technical guidance session was conducted by experts from the Department, aiming to equip farmers with the necessary knowledge to enhance their horticultural practices.
While addressing the participants, Director Horticulture underscored the department’s vision and ongoing initiatives, emphasizing the pivotal role of horticulture in propelling the overall development of the region.
He highlighted the sector’s potential for growth and sustainability besides urged the farmers to take full advantage of the departmental schemes in vogue.
