People with vision should join politics, says Ghulam Hassan Mir

Apni Party Senior Vice President, Ghulam Hassan Mir today advised the people with a vision and intellect to join politics in Jammu and Kashmir to bring peace, prosperity and sustainable development.
“The educated people should come forward and join politics before it is too late. They have better plans to implement their ideas for the upliftment of the society and eradicate discrimination whether it is in the name of caste, creed, region or religion,” said Ghulam Hassan Mir here at Apni Party Office, Gandhi Nagar, Jammu.
He was speaking at a Party meeting of leaders from Bahu Constituency.
The meeting was organized by Provincial Vice President, Women Wing, Jammu, Neelam Gupta.
In his address, Ghulam Hassan Mir said that the participation of the educated people in politics can bring positive changes in Jammu and Kashmir. “The growing concerns of the people can only be addressed when the people with a vision and intellectual class come forward and take the over the politics of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said, while advising the Party leaders to expand their focus areas across the Jammu region from every nook and corner of the city to the peripheral areas.
He stated that the people feel misled by the traditional political parties that have given rise to the multiple issues and these public issues need to be addressed appropriately.
“The Apni Party has gained support of the people from all the regions and accordingly, it has expanded its roots across Jammu and Kashmir,” he said. He recalled how the people continue to suffer in the absence of an elected Govt in J&K.
While urging the election commission of India for holding assembly polls, he said that the J&K has no elected institution to represent the people left except DDCs.
Meanwhile, he also discussed organizational issues and directed the Party cadre to work in coordination to ensure effective implementation of the policies and programs of the Party. He also impressed upon the constituency wise Party programs across Jammu to address public issues and strengthen the Party.
Earlier, Provincial President, Jammu, Apni Party, S. Manjit Singh also spoke on the occasion and explained about the Party’s organizational working. He said that the people from different walks of life have joined the Party in Jammu while expressing their faith in the leadership of Syed Mohammed Altaf Bukhari. He said that the people are fed-up with the traditional political parties, and they want a change in Jammu in particular because of increase in unemployment, power tariff/unscheduled power cuts, irregular drinking water supply, exploitation of resources by outsiders, allotment of contracts to the non-locals, increase in crime rate etc., issues.
He also highlighted various other issues being confronted by the people in Jammu plains and discussed future plans as to how the Party will be strengthened in rural and urban areas.
