JAMMU, Jan 8
Jammu Kashmir Sharnarthi Action Committee (JKSAC) in its general house meeting held at Jammu strongly appreciated Sh. Amit Shah Hon’ble Home Minister for approving the security model for complete elimination of terrorism from the soil of J&K. The participants in the meeting unanimously urged upon Sh. Narendra Modi and Sh. Amit Shah to liberate the areas of POJK from the illegal occupation of Pakistan as it has become more imperative now for the success of the said security model. The participants also appealed to Sh. Narendra Modi and Sh. Amit Shah that till it is done so the recommendation of JPC Report No. 183 wll regard to DPs of all categories be accepted and implemented in letter and spirit, the only roadmap for the adequate settlement.
Addressing the meeting Gurdev Singh President alongwith many other asserted that liberation of POJK is a national resolve pending execution for the last more than seven decades. Unanimous resolution was passed by Indian Parliament in 1994 in this regard and it is unfortunate that after lapse of 30 years the resolution is still confined to the official files and no follow-up action either diplomatically or militarily has been taken up by any of the govt. He said liberation of POJK is the only unfinished agenda of the partition which has even been asserted many times by Indian foreign minister particularly Former Home Minister/Defence Minister Sh. Rajnath Singh that POJK is a part of India and country will have the physical control over it one day.
He further said that after the abrogation of Article 370 and Section 35-A of Indian constitution it has become imperative for the GOI to respond the resolution passed earlier, as POJK is legal part after Maharaja acceded with India in 1947. It is unfortunate that past govts. of India did not take the advantage of wars with Pakistan and committed Himalayan blunder to leave that part of POJK with Pakistan resulting in the suffering of DPs till today. He said that despite of six decade struggle consistently made by DPs, no concrete measures were taken and their legitimate rights were denied to them by the state and centre dispensations to adequately rehabilitate them. He said that whatever little relief has been given to them sofar is awfully insufficient with poor tag record of implementation for the settlement of their generations. He said that DPs legitimate concern regarding their rehabilitation are being raised by JKSAC since 1967 with state and central govt. particularly the registration/compensation for their left-out properties. He said that the same was denied to DPs till today by the central govt. under the plea that since the area of POJK is a part of India and is under the forcible occupation of Pakistan, so registration/compensation of any kind of claims if paid to DPs could rise to the feeling that India has given up the hope for the return of that area and it would be against the constitutional stand taken by India over POJK. He said that since the Pakistan is globally exposed over Kashmir issue and have lost all it claims in international forum, so it is appropriate time to sort out the pedning national reolve i.e. unfinished agenda to liberate POJK as the present govt. is the only govt. which has a strong political will and capability to do so.
The DPs have great expectation and hope on Modi ji as it is appropruiate time to the wrong the wrong committed by previous govt. by accepting the recommendation of JPC Report no 183 the only road-map for the adequate settlement of DPs till the POJK is librated because “MODI AI TO MUMKIN HAI”.
Other leader who spoke in the meeting are Sh. Dev Saroop and Nain Chand (Distt. Rajouri), Bhushan Sharma & Dr. Paramjeet Kumar (Distt Kathua), Netar Pal Singh and Jagdish Raj (Distt Samba), Puran Singh Chib and Ajeet Singh (Sub-Distt.
