5.7 Dance Academy celebrated its ‘Annual Day-Nritya Utsav’ at 5.7 Dance Academy Campus in Udheywala Jammu, wherein Mr Sunil Sharma Director – Unique Dance Academy and Mrs. Ritu Koul were the Chief Guest, here today. Mr. Tarun Uppal, Chairperson Nirbhay Bharat Foundation was the Special Guest and Dr. Rohit Koul was the Guest of Honour. The program was inaugurated with lighting the traditional lamp by Mr Sunil Sharma, Dr. Ritu Koul, Mr. Tarun Uppal and Dr. Rohit Koul. A documentary based on the activities of ‘5.7 Dance Academy’ was also shown, prepared by Miss Komal Koul, Administrator of the Academy. A cultural collage through various dance forms was presented by the students of the 5.7 Dance Academy on the occasion of its annual function. The premises of the academy resounded with music, dance and drama as the tiny tots put up a scintillating performance to celebrate the annual day based on the theme “Nritya Utsav”.
More than 68 students participated in the event and presented various dance forms of the country. Mrs. Ritu Koul In her speech, emphasised on the importance of parents’ active participation in children’s skills development may it be Dance or any field and she also stressed the need to cultivate reading habits as well in children to curtail screen time.
Mr. Sunil Sharma said that each child is special and should be promoted towards excellence and added each child is special and should be promoted towards excellence.
The event was attended by a large number of dignitaries including parents.Administrator of the academy Ms. Komal Koul appreciated the hard work put in by the young students and thanked the eminent gathering present at the occasion. Such events provide the much-needed exposure to the students and prepare them for the long and arduous journey called Life, Mr. Tarun Uppal – Chairperson Nirbhay Bharat Foundation said who marked his presence in the event as the Special Guest.
Dr. Rohit Koul – Director and CEO of People’s Hut Foundation who was the Guest of Honor in the Annual Function appreciated the program prepared under the directions of Mr. Vimal Koul and Mr. Sumneet Bhardwaj (Managing Directors and Choreography Head) emphasized the usefulness of dance and its need in today’s time and cited the coordination of music and dance in the new education policy 2020. The Dignitaries awarded certificates and trophies to students and congratulated the young achievers for excellence in various categories.
