An impactful awareness campaign on Electronic Voting Machines (EVM) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) was today organized in the DC Office Complex in Kishtwar under the overall supervision of District Election Officer (DEO) Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav. The event aimed to educate the public about the operational aspects of EVM/VVPAT systems.
The campaign witnessed active participation from diverse segments of society, offering them a firsthand demonstration of the EVM/VVPAT functionalities. Attendees engaged in mock voting exercises, expressing overall contentment with the informative session.
The Assembly Level Master Trainers (ALMTs) played a crucial role in the event’s success.
Present among them were Amresh Kumar, Mohammad Saleem Shah, Daljeet Singh Parihar, Imtiyaz Ahmed Kichloo, Liyaqat Ali, and Sumit Sen.
Their expertise and guidance enhanced the understanding of the electoral processes associated with EVM/VVPAT systems.
The campaign’s efforts toward educating the general public about the intricate workings of EVM and VVPAT shall continue.
