Under the public contact campaign, Jammu and Kashmir President of Bahujan Samaj Party, Darshan Rana, reached District Udhampur and Kathua. He met party workers and urged them to prepare for the upcoming Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, emphasizing an early start for a robust participation by the Bahujan Samaj Party. This visit marked Rana’s first to both districts since assuming the role of state president. Party workers warmly welcomed him in Udhampur and Kathua. During the event, senior BSP leaders including Mangal Das, Shyam Lal Dogra, Vijay Bansal, and Ashok Kumar were present.
Rana, in his statement, expressed his commitment to the party’s strong participation in the upcoming elections and the aspiration to form a government independently in Jammu and Kashmir. He called on party workers to strengthen the party by taking its policies to the common people and expanding outreach through a public relations campaign. Rana highlighted that the Bahujan Samaj Party is unique in bringing people together, especially advocating for the voices of the backward class. He announced upcoming public contact campaign programs at the district and block levels to connect more people with the party.
These initiatives align with the instructions of National President Mayawati.
Other party leaders, including Sunil Majotra, Rajkumar Bhagat, Raman Kumar, Tara Chand, Shyamlal Jagdish Raj, Surinder Kumar, Madhu Sudan, and Sardari Lal, expressed their views and welcomed the state president warmly during his visit to District Udhampur and Kathua.
