The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ganderbal, Shyambir today presided over a crucial meeting of the District Health Society at Conference Hall of Mini Secretariat, here to address and strategize key healthcare initiatives within the district.
At the outset, detailed discussion was held on various agenda points including repair and renovation Works of Ayushman Arogya Mandir, pending electricity and water connections of Health Institutions, implementation of WIFS programme, creation of Golden cards of left out population, organizing of Yoga session in Ayushman Arogya Mandir, implementation of Kayakalp, NQAS, approval for civil work of Skill Lab approved under NHM and saturation of ABHA Cards.
During the meeting, the DC emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in enhancing healthcare services. Discussions revolved around bolstering healthcare infrastructure, optimizing resources, and implementing effective public health programs.
The CMO Ganderbal informed that the estimations for 13 works have been submitted for the tendering process for which the DC directed the R&B department to ensure the tendering process is initiated at an earliest.
While discussing water and electricity facilities in health institutions of the district, the DC directed the concerned BMOs to ensure such facilities are available in all health facilities falling under their jurisdictions.
Regarding the Weekly Iron Folic Acid Supplementation (WIFAS) programme, the Programme Officer ICDS was asked to start administration of IFA tablets among the children in all AWCs of the district.
While discussing the strategy for creation of Golden cards and ABHA cards of the left out population, the DC directed to carry a joint survey through ASHAs taking help of FCS&CA so that target is achieved at an earliest.
The meeting was informed that Skill Lab has been approved under NHM in the district which shall be established at MMC Wayil.
The CMO informed that equipment is available for establishing the lab besides DPR of Rs 20 lakh is also approved. The DC directed her that all works shall be taken as per the guidelines. He said that collaborative efforts are expected to contribute significantly to elevating the overall health standards in Ganderbal. The meeting also explored innovative approaches to tackle prevalent health challenges within the district.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Commissioner Develop-ment, Program Officer ICDS, CMO Ganderbal, MS District Hospital, BMOs and other concerned officials.
