Bharatiya Janata Party MP, Rajya Sabha, Er. Gulam Ali Khatana, strongly condemned some political parties for trying to exploit the unfortunate situation in Poonch district, where both army jawans and civilians lost their lives. He said that these parties ruled over dead bodies of the innocent civilians in Jammu and Kashmir and enjoyed the perks of terrorism.
MP Khatana asserted that some political entities have resorted to shedding crocodile tears while, ironically, being responsible for the loss of more than 150 innocent civilian lives during their tenure, all in an attempt to come back to power. He said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has been instrumental in bringing peace and development to the Union Territory (UT), resulting in an atmosphere of almost complete tranquility, a surge in tourist numbers, and increased developmental activities.
MP Khatana urged the public to remain vigilant against the false and fake propaganda disseminated by these political parties. He emphasized that these parties are accountable for the present underdevelopment and terrorism in the UT, and cautioned the public against falling prey to their deceptive narratives.
He said that Jammu and Kashmir would see a drastic change in next couple of years when the seedlings of development and progress sowed by PM Narendra Modi shall flourish. He said that international and national companies are investing heavily in the UT.
