MIER College of Education organised its first-ever annual festival, “MIER Fiesta 2023”, at its B.C Road campus. The event showcased the incredible talent of students and provided an evening of entertainment, games and fun that will be remembered for years to come.
Dr.Renu Gupta, Chairperson of MIER Group, inaugurated the fest and encouraged the students to embrace the spirit of celebration and creativity.She exhorted that it was the students’ time to shine and display their incredible talents on the stage. Dr.Renu also said that the festival is not just about fun and games, but also about appreciating the unique skills each student brings to the table.
The festival kicked off with an energetic and visually stunning dance extravaganza. Various dance groups and solo performances dazzled the audience with their precision, creativity, and passion. From contemporary to traditional, the performances were a witness to the diversity and skill of the talented students. The students showcased their versatility, offering a delightful mix of genres that catered to the diverse tastes of the audience. The students also performed beatboxing, showcasing their incredible vocal percussion skills.
Mr. Ricky and his band entertained the crowd with a musical concert, which electrified the environment with excitement andleftthe audience spellbound with his melodious voice.
The campus grounds became a throbbing dance floor for the DJ evening as the festival went on. Attendees danced to the beats of heart-thumping music, creating an energised atmosphere that brought together students, faculty, and guests in a celebration of music and rhythm. Mouth-watering food items and game stalls were also organised for the students and teachers. Encouraging the entrepreneurial spirit, many students also set up food stalls to promote local food items.
Prof. Adit Gupta, Director and Principal MIER College of Education extended heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to the success of the college festival, including the student planning and organising committee, the cultural and discipline committee, the performers, and the enthusiastic audience.
He said that everyone’s support has made this event a memorable and cherished experience for our college community.
