A two-day trekking camp was organized for the physical education students of class 12th by the Little Angels Hr.Sec. School Kathua at Bani. The camp was flagged off by SHO Bani Sh. Arjun Magotra, Dr. Rameshwar Singh, and Block Forest Officer Mohd. Asif.
The SHO Bani appreciated the trekking camp and motivated the students to involve themselves in physical activities. Block Forest Officer Mohd Asif, under the guidance of Range Forest Officer Bani, Naresh Sharma and the overall supervision of DFO Basohli Sh Ashwani Kumar SFS, took the students for trekking in the forest area of the mountains of Bani. They also briefed them about the different kinds of trees and their importance. They also provided refreshments to the students, and even the local people welcomed the trekkers.
Dr. Rameshwar Singh invited the students to experience the hidden beauty of Bani and encouraged them to come and feel the freshness of nature away from the crowds and pollution of the city.
The school administration thanked SHO Bani, Dr. Rameshwar Singh, and BFO Mohd.Asif for their cooperation in conducting the trekking camp.
The two-day trekking camp was a great success for the students.
They learned about the importance of trees and the beauty of nature. They also had the opportunity to bond with their classmates and teachers.
