Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, Additional General Secretary Jammu and Kashmir National Conference and former minister (JKNC) expressed this while addressing a workers meeting organized by JKNC atVillage Balah in Suchetgarh Constituency. Mr Ajay Kumar Sadhotra and Mr Rattan Lal Gupta Provincial President Jammu Province were present. The meeting was presided over by Jatinder Kumar Block President Suchetgarh and Mr Naresh Bittu District President Jammu Rural B apprised the senior party functionaries about the party activities carried out in the area and problems of border dwellers being faced by them.
Ajay Kumar Sadhotra in his address, criticized the BJP for betraying the border dwellers of Jammu. Accusing the ruling party of neglect and empty promises, the senior NC leader emphasized the hardships faced by the people living in border areas, highlighting their struggles with security scenario, and lack of basic amenities. Furthermore, he also pointed out the severe lack of infrastructure development, which has left many areas without proper roads, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions. Accusing the incumbent government of cheating and betraying the people of this nation on every promise made by it before elections, he asked the Govt where are the jobs after having promised to provide 2 crore jobs every year to the youth of the nation, Fifteen Lakh Rupees will credited in their respective saving accounts and five marla residential plots at safer places.
Rattan Lal Gupta dire need to strengthen the united opposition in order to save the Indian democracy that has been reduced to smithereens by the incumbent Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Govt at the Centre. He said that the big parties in the alliance need to shun their much egoistic approach and be fully cooperative with the small and regional parties which have their own value and can play a vital and significant role during the upcoming polls to dislodge the BJP Govt from the Centre.
Rattan Lal Gupta reminded opposition parties of their mistakes committed earlier that if some share had been provided to the regional parties in the recent polls conducted in five states, then the results would have been totally different and in their favour. He also asserted that National Conference has always wanted that there should be a strong opposition in the country as that alone can check the misdemeanor of democracy by those governing the nation.
Sheikh Bashir Ahmed, Provincial Secretary, JKNC, Jammu, urged the border dwellers to strengthen the National Conference’s presence and influence in their area. He highlighted the Party’s commitment to addressing the unique challenges faced by border communities, emphasizing the JKNC’s dedication to ensuring their safety, economic development, and access to essential services.
He assured the people that the National Conference, under the leadership of Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah, would continue to fight for their rights and work tirelessly to bring about tangible improvements in their living conditions.
