Purnima says Vajpayee’s doctrine on ‘Insaniyat, Jamhuriyat and Kashmiriyat’ still relevant & meaningful today

The 99th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee was celebrated as Sushashan Diwas during a gala function held at Atal ji Chowk, Panjtirthi here today.
The programme was organized by Adv Purnima Sharma, Spokesperson BJP J&K and former Deputy Mayor Jammu.
On the occasion, Member Parliament Jugal Kishore Sharma, Kavinder Gupta, former Deputy Chief Minister, Sat Sharma, former minister, Sham Lal Sharma Vice President, Dr D.K Manyal and Vibodh Gupta, General Secretaries, Bali Bhagat, Devender Rana, District President Parmodh Kapahi, Prabhari Rajeev Charak, Inderjeet, Pawan Sharma, Anuradha Charak, Veenu Khanna, Anju Sharma, Ayodhaya Gupta, President OBC Morcha BJP J&K Sunil Prajapati, Dharamvir Jamwal former Dy Mayor, Somraj Khajuria, Raman Sharma, Mandal President, Raveesh Mengi, Presidents of various Bazaar Associations and office bearers of Ward No 1 were present. Speaking on the occasion, MP Jugal Kishore said that people should take a pledge to fulfill dreams of visionary former Prime Minister late Atal Bihari Vajpayee on making India a superpower on the Sushashan Diwas. Jugal said that the Sushashan Diwas (Good Governance Day) is celebrated on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Atal Bihari Vajpayee to foster awareness among citizens about government accountability and administration. He said that under Vajpayee’s tenures as PM, India formally became a nuclear power, tackled Pakistan with dexterity, undertook massive public welfare projects including Sarva Shikshya Abhiyaan and PM Gramin Sadak Yojana, and ushered in a new era of foreign investment and international relations, especially with the US.
Purnima Sharma, in her address, said that the most remarkable attribute of Atal Bihari on the Kashmir issue ‘Insaniyat, Jamhuriyat and Kashmiriyat’ popularly known as the Vajpayee doctrine was so powerful that the same was acclaimed by various sections within India and abroad also. Purnima Sharma said that the main point of the doctrine was to resolve all outstanding issues with Pakistan, including that of Jammu and Kashmir in a peaceful manner. This needed to be done through bi-lateral dialogue and not with any third party intervention”, she said, adding that Vajpayee acted as beacon of light for the BJP and it is his contribution that the party today has got the credit of biggest party of the world, which is steering the country to new heights of progress and fame under the dynamic leadership of PM Narendra Modi. Several senior BJP leaders also spoke on the occasion. Rajesh Gupta and Manav Gupta conducted the stage proceedings.
