JAMMU, Dec 19
Apni Party Provincial President, Jammu, and Former Minister, S Manjit Singh today said that there is no alternative to an elected Govt that represents the real aspiration of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
“The elections for Legislative Assembly were delayed for several years and have given rise to multiple issues in both the regions of Jammu and Kashmir,” said Former Minister, while addressing a meeting cum joining program.
In this joining program, private school principal Vijay Kumar, Panch – Vinay Kumar, and social activist Banarsi Das joined the party in presence of Manjit Singh.
Prominent businessman, Vishal Singh Nariana and other leaders of the Party were also present on the occasion. While welcoming them into the party fold, the Former Minister hoped that their joining would strengthen on the ground.
In his address, he said that the present form of Govt is unable to address the public issues and the authorities hardly concern about the public issues.
“The public issues mostly remain unaddressed and the Govt offices wore a deserted look because the people have stopped visiting the Govt offices in the wake of insensitive approach of the officials,” he said.
He said that the people in both the regions want holding of assembly elections.
“The situation is favourable and peaceful in Jammu and Kashmir to hold assembly polls.
Therefore, the Election Commission of India should announce the assembly election,” he added, while hailing the directions of the apex court regarding the assembly elections in J&K.
He said that the development has stopped, unemployment has increased, resources and trade both are being grabbed by the non-locals.
“We are monitoring the situation. We believe that the constitutional rights of the local population should be protected by providing them employment, resources, and grab of employment by the outsiders,” he added.
