JAMMU, Dec 19
In a recent development that has sparked widespread concern, the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) has strongly criticized the decision made by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE). The Board’s choice to reject class 10th examination forms from students enrolled in private schools across J&K and Ladakh, established on state land, has elicited a vehement condemnation from ABVP. This decision, made in defiance of ongoing High Court proceedings and an existing stay order, has not only deeply distressed the educational community but also raised serious questions about the state of education in the region. The audacious move by JKBOSE has put the future of numerous students in Jammu and Kashmir at risk.

The uncertainty surrounding the acceptance of examination forms has unnecessarily burdened students and their families, despite the board having previously granted affiliation to all schools operating smoothly at designated locations.
Private high schools, which have diligently adhered to government guidelines, find themselves unjustly implicated in this administrative tangle. ABVP State Secretary Akshi Billowria has emphatically stated that every student deserves equal opportunities to pursue education without hindrance or discrimination. The denial of examination forms to students enrolled in private schools on state land is deemed not only unjust but also utterly unacceptable by ABVP.
In response to this situation, ABVP is calling for an immediate reconsideration of the decision by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (BOSE). The organization emphasizes that the welfare and future prospects of the affected students should be paramount in this deliberation. It urges a prioritization of the educational aspirations of these students, ensuring that administrative constraints do not deprive them of their fundamental right to education.
In a show of unwavering solidarity, ABVP stands shoulder to shoulder with the affected students and their families. The organization urgently calls upon the concerned authorities to expedite resolution in a manner that staunchly upholds the rights and educational pursuits of the students caught in this regrettable bureaucratic quagmire. ABVP stresses that the time to act is now, ensuring that the future of these promising minds is safeguarded from arbitrary disruptions.
