Sham Lal Gupta, Chairman of the Anticrime Bureau (ACB) NGO, has unequivocally denounced the recent security breach in the Parliament, characterizing it as a direct assault on democratic values.
In a press release issued today, Gupta conveyed profound concern regarding the breach, highlighting its implications beyond the physical security of the Parliament House. He emphasized that such incidents strike at the very core of democratic principles and institutions that form the backbone of the nation.
Gupta called upon Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to initiate a thorough and comprehensive investigation into the incident. Stressing the urgency of identifying and taking stringent action against those responsible, he underscored the critical need to prevent the recurrence of such breaches in the future. Affirming the BJP’s unwavering commitment to upholding the integrity of democratic institutions, Gupta urged all stakeholders to collaborate in safeguarding the sanctity of the Parliament and preserving the democratic fabric of the nation.
The Chairman of the Anticrime Bureau (ACB) emphasized that security and sanctity are paramount when it comes to the Parliament. Any threat to these fundamental principles, according to Gupta, demands the utmost seriousness in addressing and rectifying the situation.
Reiterating the BJP’s dedication to preserving democratic values, Gupta stressed the need for collective efforts to ensure that the incident serves as a catalyst for reinforcing security measures rather than a precedent for future breaches. He commended the resilience of democratic institutions while expressing confidence that a thorough investigation will bring the perpetrators to justice.
Gupta concluded the statement by calling for unity among all political parties and citizens, transcending partisan lines to protect the democratic ethos of the nation. He urged a united front in upholding the sanctity of the Parliament, emphasizing that a robust democracy relies on the commitment of its people to defend its core principles in the face of challenges.
