DHSS celebrates its Annual Day & Prize distribution ceremony

To commemorate the glorious services in the field of education Dogra Higher Secondary School, Shastri Nagar, Jammu celebrated its Annual Day & Prize distribution ceremony today on 15th of Dec. 2023 in the Auditorium of Abhinav Theater, Jammu. The Students of the School presented a bonanza of Cultural items with great enthusiasm and fervor. Sh. Ravinder Raina, BJP President J&K was the Chief Guest to grace the occasion, and Th. Gulchain Singh Ji Charak Honble Former Minister and President Dogra Sadar Sabha (J&K) Presided over the function. Prominent amongst those who attended the function included:

Cultural Academy, Mrs. Nishi Sharma ZEO and people from all walks of life including various heads of the schools of Jammu .
The Principal of the school Mrs. Davinder Kour read out the Annual Report and expressed her gratitude to the parents for their co-operation in making the programme of the school an impressive one.
The theme of the Annual Function was “Bhavya Bharat” wherein a colourful cultural programme was presented by the students dedicate to the achievements of India as a nation like Chandrayan success story, G-20 Presidency, Olympic Gold Medal by Neeraj Chopra, Oscar award and many more. The toddlers of Pre-Primary presented an item on environment which enthralled the audience present there. The school students presented variety of items which included folk Dance, live instrumental performance, etc. based on the theme of the function and were greatly appreciated by the large gathering of dignitaries, guests and parents present there. The Chief Guest felicitated the students with awards and Prizes as token of recognition for their accomplishments in curricular and extra-curricular activities.
Gulchain Singh Ji Charak while appreciating the efforts of the school, emphasized on all round development of the students and urged upon the teaching faculty to strive for achieving this goal. He said that the schools must become the centre for Scholastic excellence the spirit of healthy competition in the students.
The Chief Guest, Sh. Ravinder Raina Ji in his speech congratulated the students for their achievements in different academic as well as co-curricular activities and appreciated the efforts of the students and teachers in putting up a great show and giving excellent result in BOARD examinations year after year. Japneet Kour and Mrs. Eisha were the Anchor to the proceedings of the occasion. Students namely Sania Sarkar, Meenal, Pihu and Shristy were the attraction of the function for the manner they conducted the stage.
The Function concluded with a vote of thanks presented by Dr. Kaajal Bhasin, the Vice Principal and ‘Adieu’ in celebration.
