Department of AYUSH Organised Yoga Session Awareness Program on the directive of Harvinder Singh IAS Deputy Commissioner Doda at Gathi Morh Park Bhalra of Additional District Bhaderwah on Thursday in which staff of the Department (AHWC Drudhu/Bhalra) participated.
On this occasion, live yoga sessions were conducted by Yoga experts Faizan-ul-Haq and Anil Yogi. Awareness lectures regarding stress management were also delivered which were appreciated by the participants. The programme was conducted in the overall guidence and supervision of District Ayush Officer Doda Dr. Ajay Tikoo accompanied by Medical Officer Dr. Shaker Hussain, Supervisor Pharmacist Shakuntla Devi, MTS Farooq Ahmed, Yoga Therapist Anil Yogi, Yoga Instructor Faizan Ul Haq and others.
Champa Devi a local resident highly commended the performance of the yoga Therapist/yoga Instructor and requested both of them to conduct such informative and demonstrative yoga sessions and awareness for people in the near future also.
“At a time when our society is replete with so many psychological challenges because of which both young and old are the sufferers, such curative and informative programs act as healers,” she observed.
“Yoga has become increasingly popular over the years and for a good reason, practicing yoga regularly has numerous health benefits that go beyond just physical flexibility and strength. It can help reduce stress and anxiety, improve sleep quality, increase energy levels, boost immunity, manage chronic pain and improve overall mental wellbeing,” She further stated.
