As part of the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, the special IEC van today made its way to Panchayat Seela. The event was greeted with warmth and enthusiasm by the BDC Chairperson, Block Development Officer, officers and officials from various departments, PRI Members, and the local public. District Development Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan was the chief guest on the occasion.
The atmosphere was charged with the spirit of vibrant cultural displays and uplifting success stories caused due to various schemes. Beneficiaries from diverse sections of society, including farmers, entrepreneurs, women and youth shared their stories of transformation, expressing profound gratitude for the government’s unwavering support through flagship schemes and initiatives. DDC Reasi Vishesh Mahajan, in his address, shared profound insights into the significance of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and highlighted its alignment with the Central and Jammu & Kashmir Union Territory (JK UT) government schemes. He emphasized the pivotal role of collaborative efforts to ensure that every eligible person shall get enrolled in diverse schemes for driving sustainable development and prosperity across regions.
Expressing his views, DDC Mahajan underscored the synergy between the Yatra’s objectives and the progressive initiatives undertaken by the central and JK UT governments. He accentuated the importance of inclusive growth, leveraging available resources, and empowering local communities to realize the full potential of developmental schemes.
The “Meri Kahani Meri Zubani” initiative emerged as the heart of the event, spotlighting the life-altering impact of government schemes on individuals and communities. During the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, students took in a vibrant cultural extravaganza themed around “Dharti kahe Pukar Ke” and a “Swachata song” initiative, showcased their dedication to a cleaner and culturally enriched district. During the Viksit Bharat Sanka Yatra, Sunita Devi, a resident of Seela, shared her inspiring journey as a beneficiary of the Tajwasni Scheme. Expressing her gratitude, Sunita Devi highlighted the significant support she received from the Employment Department, receiving a grant of 5 lakhs to kickstart her entrepreneurial venture and the impact it had in changing the life of her family.
A member of the Self-Help Group (SHG), Nirmal Kour shared an empowering journey, shedding light on the transformative role of the NRLM scheme. The scheme played a crucial part in providing financial support for livelihood opportunities, thereby positively impacting her life and those of other women in the community.
Anita Sharma, a resident of Seela panchayat, conveyed her heartfelt gratitude towards the Ayushman Card, elucidating how it has been a pivotal source of financial security and access to quality healthcare for her and her family. The Agriculture Department Reasi proudly showcased the cutting-edge integration of drone technology in agriculture during the recent Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
The demonstration highlighted the transformative impact of these drones in revolutionizing farming practices and enhancing agricultural productivity across the district.
On-site quiz competitions and traditional sports events were also organized during the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
Students from local educational institutions enthusiastically participated, showcasing their intellectual prowess and zest for learning.

Stalls featuring various schemes catered to diverse needs encompassing education, healthcare, entrepreneurship, agriculture, and more. Visitors had the opportunity to engage firsthand with representatives, gaining invaluable insights into the range of assistance available.
