Global Convent School Channi Rama, Jammu, a leading educational institution in Jammu, celebrated its 22nd Annual Day with great jubilation and enthusiasm on December 11, 2023. The event, held at Zorawar Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu, witnessed a vibrant display of student talent and a celebration of the institution’s rich legacy.
The esteemed Chief Guests for the occasion were Sh. Kavinder Gupta, Former Deputy Chief Minister, who inspired the students with their encouraging words.
Tajinder Singh Sodhi, Bureau Chief NEWS 18, graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour.
The program commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony followed by a melodious rendition of the school song. The function was presided over by Sh. Sohail Kazmi, Editor-Taskeen/Hon’ble member JK Waqf Board.
Riaz Ahmed, Principal, Global Convent School, Branch Batote, paid a heartfelt tribute to Late Mr. K. K. Pandoh, Chairman of Global Convent School, and Late Mr. M. L. Gandotra, father of Mrs. Mona Pandoh, Founder/Director of the school. He acknowledged their vision, dedication, and unwavering support in shaping the institution into what it is today.
The students mesmerized the audience with a captivating array of dance, music, drama, and skit performances, showcasing their talents. The Annual Day featured a cultural extravaganza, with students presenting traditional dances and performances highlighting India’s rich heritage.
Jagdamba Gandotra, Principal of Global Convent School, presented the annual report, highlighting the school’s accomplishments in academics, sports, co-curricular activities, and community service. She commended the teachers and students for their dedication and hard work, which have contributed significantly to the school’s growth and development.
The highlight of the evening was the award ceremony, where Mrs. Mona Pandoh, Founder /Director of the school, felicitated students for their academic excellence, sportsmanship, and exemplary leadership qualities. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and the national anthem, leaving the audience with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
