MP Khatana Meets HM, Stresses for Resolving Issues of Unemployed Youth

BJP MP Rajya Sabha Er. Gulam Ali Khatana held a crucial meeting with Union Minister for Home Affairs, Amit Shah, addressing a range of pressing issues concerning Jammu and Kashmir. The discussions, held in New Delhi on December 8, encompassed critical topics such as the security situation, unemployment among youth, and specific challenges faced by various groups in the Union Territory.
During the meeting, Khatana took the opportunity to apprise Home Minister Amit Shah of the prevailing security scenario in Jammu and Kashmir.
He lauded the efforts of the security forces for maintaining dominance in the Union Territory and effectively thwarting the nefarious plans of terrorists. Khatana highlighted the heightened state of alertness of the army and J&K Police, making it increasingly challenging for terrorists to carry out their operations.
In particular, he emphasized the necessity of fortifying the security grid in border districts like Rajouri and Poonch to ensure a robust defense mechanism against potential threats.
The MP didn’t limit the discussions solely to security matters but also voiced his concerns regarding unemployment among the youth in Jammu and Kashmir. Stressing the need for immediate attention to this critical issue, Khatana urged for the creation of employment opportunities to address the aspirations and livelihoods of the region’s young population. Additionally, he called for decisive action against the drug mafia, underlining the significance of a comprehensive approach to maintaining law and order in the Union Territory.
Home Minister Amit Shah, in response to Khatana’s concerns, assured the MP that the raised issues would be prioritized and addressed promptly. The commitment from the Home Minister signifies a proactive stance towards resolving the challenges faced by Jammu and Kashmir, reflecting the government’s dedication to the well-being and prosperity of the region.
Furthermore, MP Khatana took the opportunity to draw attention to specific grievances, including those of Sakshar Bharat employees, ousted DRDO employees, and Compilers in the Finance department. By raising these issues, Khatana demonstrated his commitment to advocating for a comprehensive resolution of problems affecting various segments of the population.
