The unveiling of the Jal Jeevan Mission initiative in Akhnoor’s Fadwal village, under the leadership of BJP leader Pandit Suresh Sharma, stands as a beacon of hope for the residents grappling with persistent water scarcity. The ambitious project, valued at an impressive Rs 2 crore 50 lakh, signifies a comprehensive approach to transform the water infrastructure in the region.The focal point of this endeavor is the construction of a dug well, a vital source that promises to revolutionize the water supply dynamics not only for Fadwal but also for neighboring villages like Gudha, Panada, Mini, and Manoh. Beyond the construction of the well, the initiative encompasses the replacement of aging pipes and the installation of taps in households currently deprived of this fundamental necessity.During the unveiling ceremony, Pandit Suresh Sharma, a prominent figure in both the BJP and District Development Council, addressed the gathering with empathy, acknowledging the persistent water challenges faced by the inhabitants of this remote hilly region. He expressed unwavering confidence that the completion of this project would usher in a new era, ensuring a reliable and substantial water supply for the entire community.Sharma emphasized the government’s commitment to addressing the basic needs of every citizen, underscoring how initiatives like the Jal Jeevan Mission align with the welfare schemes envisioned by the Central Government.
