Boosting Tourism in Bhaderwah: DDC announces hosting of winter Carnival, interacts with tourists at Guldanda

District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Harvinder Singh today visited Guldanda in Bhaderwah, a well-known tourist destination which is witnessing the arrival of tourists all the way from different states of the country to enjoy winters amid snow capped mountains. The purpose of the visit was to engage with tourists, gather insights into their experiences and obtain valuable feedback to improve tourism facilities in the area.
During interactions with tourists, the DDC assured them of their safety and convenience, emphasizing the administration’s commitment to delivering a memorable and hassle-free experience.
He also discussed the upcoming winter festival, set to showcase the rich cultural heritage and traditions of the region.
The anticipated winter festival aims to draw a significant number of tourists, providing a platform to promote local talent, craftsmanship, and cuisine. The event is poised to feature diverse cultural performances, adventure sports, local handicraft exhibitions, and enticing food stalls.
DDC Doda expressed enthusiasm for the upcoming winter carnival. He urged both locals and tourists to actively participate and contribute to its success.
He further encouraged the tourism department and local stakeholders to make necessary arrangements, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all attendees.
As part of his responsibilities, DDC Doda Harvinder Singh conducted an inspection in the Bhaderwah sub-district to ensure all necessary arrangements for the upcoming JKSSB Panchayat Secretary VLW exam are in place.
This proactive measure aims to guarantee a smooth and efficient execution of the examination at the designated exam center in Bhaderwah.
District Doda, the DC said, holds significant tourism potential with famous ancient spots like the Vasuki Naag temple, Gupt Ganga, Bhaderwah Fort, besides breathtaking destinations.
“The district also boasts of aromatic Bhaderwahi Rajmaa and a number of rare herbs famous across the country and even worldwide,” he added.
The DC emphasized that these ancient and archaeological spots could act as great attractions for tourists from all parts of the country and boost the tourism industry in the district.
The DC also highlighted potential tourist attractions like Famous Jai Valley, Gatha Park, Jantroon Dhar, Guldanda Lal Dramen, and other unexplored destinations. He mentioned that road connectivity from Bhaderwah towards Guldanda and Chattergallaa will be improved to enhance the tourist experience.
The DC expressed optimism about leveraging the district’s diverse offerings to make it a sought-after destination for tourists.
