To review the progress of Jal Jeevan Mission in the District, District Development Commissioner Reasi, Vishesh Mahajan today convened a meeting of officers and field functionaries of Jal Shakti Department here in the Conference Hall DC Office Complex.
The Jal Jeevan Mission, a flagship initiative of the Government of India, aims to ensure tap water supply to all rural households by 2024.
During the meeting, the DDC conducted detailed assessment and evaluation of the progress of the JJM scheme in the district.
The DDC reviewed the status of progress of under construction Water Supply Schemes, formulation of Detailed Project Reports, revising of detailed action plan, tendering, work allotments under JJM.
A threadbare discussion was held with regard to the important schemes being executed in the district for the augmentation of the water supply. He reviewed the physical and financial progress of the works being executed under JJM.
The DDC instructed officers to expedite the implementation of water supply projects and ensure that the benefits of the JJM scheme reach the targeted beneficiaries within the stipulated time frame.
The DDC stressed upon the engineers to gear up their men and machinery for speedy execution of all the pending works so that the people in large are benefitted under the ambitious Jal Jeevan Mission of the Government.
The DDC directed the concerned to complete all ongoing schemes within the district by December 31st.
The meeting was attended by Joint Director Planning Sunita Kanchan, Superintending Engineer, Executive Engineer PHE and other concerned officials present in the meeting.
