Stakeholders sensitized about Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign at SDH Gandoh

To promote Nasha Mukt Bharat campaign in rural areas, a highly impactful orientation program was today organized for community level and official stakeholders here in Sub District Hospital Gandoh.
The one day orientation training was hosted by Department of Health and Family Welfare in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare organised and under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh.
The training session aimed to educate and empower the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), Teachers, Anganwadi Workers (AWWs), and Accredited Social Health Activists (ASHAs). The focus was on the National Centre for Disease Control (NCORD) under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Programme. Participants, including village-level committee members, were sensitized to conduct house-to-house survey to identify and help individuals struggling with the substance use.
Prominent among others present at the training program were BMO Gandoh, Dr. Gansham Singh, Touseef Zargar (TSWO), Master Trainer Tahir Ashraf Wani (Lecturer), Umar Anayat (Epidemiologist), Faheem (D&FLO), Ankush Singh (SI), and officials from the police and social welfare department. The collaboration showcased a collective commitment towards combating substance abuse through an informed community involvement and awareness.
This initiative, spearheaded by DC signifies a proactive approach to address the challenges of substance abuse at the grassroots level. The engagement of different stakeholders reflects a holistic strategy to achieve the goal of Nasha Mukt Bharat (Drug-Free India) by fostering community awareness and active participation.
