Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Saloni Rai today chaired a crucial meeting of the District-level Armed Forces Flag Day Committee in her office chamber.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Joginder Singh Jasrotia, Addl. SP Anwar-Ul-Haq, DTO Alok Gupta, Zila Sainik Welfare Officer, Tehsildar Head Quarter and other officers of concerned departments attended the meeting.
The DC underscored the significance of Armed Forces Flag Day, urging the activation of government departments and educational institutions in the collection of donations. She emphasized the importance of expressing gratitude to India’s military personnel and honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice for the nation.
The Deputy Commissioner urged all departments to install donation boxes in every government office across the district. Emphasizing the need for widespread participation, she called upon civil society members, students, youth clubs, and volunteers to actively contribute to Armed Forces Flag Day at the district and sub-division levels. DC directed officers to ensure the contribution of Flag Day from all employees of District Udhampur, recognizing it as a collective effort to honor and support the armed forces.
