To commemorate World AIDS Day, a one day awareness programme was held today at Community Health Centre (CHC) Katra in Collaboration with Tehsil Legal Services Committee under the control of Dr. Gopal Dutt, BMO.
Dr Ruchi Sharma Physician Specialist delivered the lecture on prevention and treatment of the disease. Advocate Suneel Sharma from TLSC Katra, Sunali central administrator from One Stop Centre, Ashutosh Sharma Social Worker Special cell for Women highlighted the legal aspect and ways of dealing and neutralizing the social stigma associated with the sufferers like HIV patients, child abuse and domestic violence respectively. The programme was attended by representatives from all health institutions of block Katra, ASHA workers, officials and officers of CHC, volunteers and attendants.
Dr. Komal MLHP conducted the proceedings of the event.
