The dream of self-reliant India will be fulfilled through PM Vishwakarma Yojana: Sunil Prajapati

BJP OBC Morcha Udhampur organized registration camp to register beneficiaries under PM Vishwakarma Yojna at Panchayat Ghar Panjgrain, Chowki Mandal, Ramnagar.
Sunil Prajapati (State President BJP OBC Morcha), Sagar verma (District President OBC Morcha Udhampur), Ashok Kumar Bandhral (Vice president OBC Morcha Udhampur), Kuldeep Pathania (District General Secretary OBC Morcha udhampur), kewal kumar (President OBC Morcha Chowki Mandal) and Sushil kumar (district Executive Member OBC Morcha Udhampur) were Present in the Program. While Speaking on the occasion Sunil Prajapati said, the scheme aims to provide financial support, skill training, skill upgradation and marketing assistance to small artisans and craftsmen across the country. The Scheme has the goal to enhance their well-being and promote India’s culture, tradition, and craftsmanship, and is directed towards benefitting the artisans and the craftspeople in the rural and urban areas across India.
He explained following features of the scheme :

  1. Scheme has been fully funded by the Centre with an outlay of ? 13,000 crore;
  2. Under the scheme, the Vishwakarmas (traditional artisans) will be registered free of charge through Common Services Centers using biometric-based PM Vishwakarma portal.
  3. The Vishwakarmas will be provided recognition through PM Vishwakarma certificate and ID card;
  4. Will be provided skill upgradation, involving basic and advanced training;
  5. Will be provided a toolkit incentive of ? 15,000;
  6. Will be provided Collateral-free credit support up to ? 1 lakh (first tranche) and ? 2 lakh (second tranche) at a concessional interest rate of 5%;
  7. Will be provided Incentive for digital transactions and marketing support.
    Under the Scheme, the government will focus on providing special training to the Vishwakarma partners and will provide them Rs 500 while the training is underway.
    They will also get a Toolkit voucher worth Rs 1,5000 & the government will also help them in branding, packaging, and marketing their products.
    The primary objective of the Scheme is to enhance the quality and reach of the products and services crafted by the artisans and the craftspeople ensuring their integration into both domestic and global value chains.
