Slamming Congress, NC and PDP for jeopardising peace in Jammu and Kashmir for over 7 decades, BJP J&K General Secretary and former MLC Advocate Vibodh Gupta said that Maharaja Hari Singh integrated J&K with India and instead of honouring him by declaring his birthday as holiday, Congress and NC started observing Martyr’s day which was the day of rebellion against the glorious and welfare rule of Maharaja Hari Singh. Addressing a gathering at Gagwal in Panchayat Harsath, District Samba today, Advocate Vibodh Gupta lashed out at Congress and NC and termed these parties as conspirators who intentionally tarnished the image of Maharaja Hari Singh only because Maharaja integrated J&K to India and for his patriotism. “Congress, NC backed rebels and forgot the real Hero Maharaja Hari Singh”, he said adding that now the Modi government has corrected their blunders and conspiracies against the great Maharaja, cancelled the rebel day holiday and declared holiday on the birthday of Maharaja Hari Singh.
Vibodh further added that today Accession Day is also celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm.
The grand celebrations during Accession Day is a big victory for the people of Jammu and Kashmir against those parties who always disrespected their revered leader Maharaja Hari Singh and discriminated against Dogras.
He lauded the role of Jammu youth, BJP activists and leaders for making the day possible and also credited Prime Minister Narendra Modi government for these remarkable changes. Thanking Prime Minister, District Prabhari of BJP Samba Narayana Singh said that the whole J&K is on the path of development and the Union Territory is becoming a fast developing area. He said that AIIMS has been opened in Samba district which is a welcome step. He highlighted various welfare measures initiated by Modi government and expressed confidence that people of J&K will overwhelmingly vote for BJP. Meanwhile, District President BJP Samba , Kashmira Singh also addressed the gathering. He said that for the first time in the history of Jammu & Kashmir, people are feeling secure and safe. He maintained that normalcy has been restored and Pakistan has been kept in size by the BJP government led by PM Narendra Modi.
Expressing satisfaction over road networks, BJP senior leader Rashpal Verma said that all roads, hospitals, schools and other government institutions were Facelifted in Jammu & Kashmir and this has changed the structure of the cities and villages. He said that the Modi government has also started various welfare schemes for the people of Jammu & Kashmir and people are being highly benefited with these schemes. The Yuva Speaker for the programme was Vinod Kumar. He strongly asserted that overall tourism has increased in Kashmir valley which was once known for only stone pelting and terrorism. “We must thank the Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah for prioritising the safety and security of people of Jammu & Kashmir’, ” he added. In the programme, Mandal Pradhan Rajesh Upadhyay also appreciated the Modi government for its welfare measures in Jammu and Kashmir.
